Process notes
Riso logic. Three spot inks, printed one plate at a time. Each plate is a coverage field that becomes a halftone dot screen — line art (the mast, the pulses, the stars) skips the screen so hairlines survive. Registration drifts a couple of pixels per plate per frame, because a press never sits perfectly still.
One cut, three hours. The sun path, the night and the grain seed change per edition. Dawn gets a long day; gloaming loses the sun halfway through. Same house, same mast, same hills.
Film grain. Paper fibre, ink mottle, and a 1.2% gate flicker at 31 Hz. 24 fps, 960×540, 1,680 frames a pass.
